Deceased

As the time has flown by, more than few brave heroes have got to the end of their road in the mouth of a dragon, or in another equally horrible place. In the world of Toril (or Forgotten Realms as they call it) the heroes are able to defeat even death itself; thus some have returned to live with the living. Here are some of these legendary heroes.

Dalayana

Dalayana's, the half-elven sorceress' from Waterdeep, heroic deeds include the infiltration into the Thieves' Guild and the singlehanded defeat of a blue dragon. The twentysecond of Eleasis, on the Year of Wild Magic, the courageous Waterdhavian suffered a great fate as a violet robed wizard surprised her, along with her friends, with a fireball spell. Dalayana's spirit ventured on to another plane of existence, but because she had denied her god, Corellon, her part was to be an even more horrible fate in the City of the Dead under Kelemvor's power.

After having aquired powerful enough magic, as some clerics of Tyr and Corellon agreed together to give her yet another chance, her friends were, afterall, able to raise Dalayana from death. However, Dalayana denied Corellon again, and refused to take anybody as her patron deity.

A new turn in Dalayanas history happened on the beginning of the Year of Rogue Dragons, when a acid sprout of a green dragon again surprised the whole party. As her last words Dalayana cast a spell of lightning bolt towards the dragon trying to, at least, save her friends. After the battle her friends, having lost all hope, buried Dalayana west of the Trollclaw hills.

Esion

A Waterdhavian warrior monk of Ilmater met his death only a tenday after the death of Dalayana, on the last day of Eleint. He, also, was fell by an enemy's spell, this time a cone of ice by an orge mage. Esion, however, was a faithful servant of Ilmater and returned with a spell cast by his friends to sacrifice himself again, if need be, instead of traveling to the Halls of Ilmater to spend an eternal life.

Surprisingly, Esion too was restopped suddenly in the Trollclaws, in the claws of a giant troll. He was buried beside Dalayana only a couple of weeks later. Thus he was able to venture to Ilmater's, though his earthly companions are allready thinking about recalling him. It remains to be seen, whether Esion will make one of the greatest possible sacrifices by returning a third time as one of the living.

Wagner Lovecraft

This powerful barbarian follows the teachings of both Uthgard and Tempus. In the northern Icewind Dale the spirit of Wagner left the body when he met a great white dragon five days after the first death of Esion. Laelthore, a powerful priest of Mystra and a companion of Wagner at the time, however, returned him back to life, to continue the fight beside his friends. When Wagner arrived at the nest of the great white, his friends had allready made the dragon pay for its kill.
